The original version of the Autonomy automatic knife was developed to meet the specific needs of U.S. Coast Guard rescue swimmers. These swimmers carry the knife in a special pouch on their vest and attached to a security lanyard, so per their requirements, it does not include a safety for the fi ring button or a pocket clip. This version of the knife also features high visibility bright orange G-10 handles to make the knife easy to see in the challenging conditions of a water rescue. Because of the specialized nature of this knife, it is only available for purchase by Coast Guard personnel and authorized members of other armed services and government agencies. Spring replacement kit is available for replacing the choil kick spring. All necessary parts and tools are included.
